Charge Nurse - Level 2

"If you love cardio vascular work you’ll find it clinically interesting here. Our patients have a wide variety of procedures ranging from cardiac stenting to cardiac bypass surgery. In the Vascular specialty we provide everything from varicose vein surgery to AAA's."

We have 17 private rooms with ensuite bathrooms. Depending on patient acuity, nurses generally care for four or five patients on a shift.

The ward provides advanced cardiac monitoring and telemetry, we are able to monitor patients on other floors, and this means that Level Two nurses often act as resource people on cardiac questions to their colleagues.

Staffing: Shifts are rostered and rotating across mornings and afternoons. Wakefield Hospital’s permanent night team covers Level 2 so there is very little requirement for working night shifts.
