A specialist facility providing comprehensive non-invasive investigation of individuals with problems of the arteries and veins.
Conveniently located in the Wakefield Specialist Centre, Rintoul Street, Newtown, the Vascular lab provides quality vascular assessment facilities for general practitioners, medical specialists and allied health professionals.

Services offered:

Ankle Brachial Index (ABI)

Test duration approximately 15 minutes
This is a simple, non-invasive test for the presence of arterial disease.

Exercise Treadmill Test

Test duration approximately 30 minutes
This tests for the functional severity of arterial disease.

Duplex Ultrasound

Test duration approximately 30 - 90 minutes
This allows for a detailed picture of the arteries or veins to be obtained.
