He is also Associate Professor (Rehabilitation) at the University of Otago, Wellington, is the Head of the Rehabilitation Teaching & Research Unit and supervises a number of Masters and PhD students. His principle research interests include health-status measurement, especially in relation to psoriatic arthritis and gout, and rehabilitation process, especially goal-setting.
