Radiology
Pacific Radiology provides 24 hour on-site radiological services using plain film (CR or computed radiography), CT, ultrasound, DEXA, mammography, MRI and nuclear medicine, during the normal working day, Monday to Friday 8.00am to 4.30pm, and also on call out hours.
Pacific Radiology has invested significantly in hardware and has a mobile plain film unit for
bedside work. This, coupled with the use of CR technology throughout the plain film work, results in
high quality bedside images required in the ICU environment.
Wakefield Radiology has on
site:
- CT (64 slice GE VCT)
- Mammography
- Ultrasound
- DEXA bone densitometry (for osteoporosis detection)
- Nuclear Medicine
- MRI
Pacific has invested in a PACS picture archiving system and all films (apart from mammography)
are digitally stored permanently and can be printed on to CD with a DICOM reader or distributed via
internet as required.
