Trained in Wellington and completed specialist training at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney. Gained further postgraduate experience in adult cardiac and thoracic surgery at the Royal Brompton National Heart Hospital London, and in Portland Oregon. Interests include coronary surgery; valvular replacement/repair and thoracic aortic surgery as well as lung and chest surgery.
