Full time Sports Physician and Medical Director of Wakefield Sports Med.
Ruth is also a supervisor to the Australian College of Sports Physicians for training fellows at Wakefield since 1993.
NZ Commonwealth Game and Olympic Team Dr (1994 - 2000) and Medical Director to NZ Academy of Sport(Central), Medical Director to NZ Golf, as well as member of the medical panel for various other sporting disciplines.
Dr Highet established Wellington's first comprehensive sports medicine clinic at Wakefield and was the first New Zealand woman to obtain her fellowship in Sports Medicine in 1993. Ruth is an athlete in her own right, competing at the 1990 Commonwealth Games and World Triathlon Championships.
