Charge Nurse - Angiography

We work really well together, better than any other team I've been in. It's a small team, and because we know and support each other's roles, things go very smoothly. I think you'd like the team dynamics. Please feel free to ask me more about our clinical work and the lab.

Our cath lab was recently re-equipped with state of the art imaging and physiology equipment.

Diagnostic and interventional procedures are predominantly cardiac (80%) with the balance being peripheral cases (20%).

Generally our cases are elective but we also take acute admissions and deal with in-patients if it becomes apparent that they need angiography.

Our clinical team has a core of four specialist interventional nurses, two radiographers and three cardiac technologists, joined by cardiologists and radiologists.

Staffing: Cath Lab operates Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm, and staff are rostered on-call outside these hours.
